Of course my Dad liked his shirt!
Ella had fun with her cousins all five that were there!
Elliott LOVES penguins!!! I did do the embroidered skull on her sleeve.
I got my hair cut I've never had it this short before but I like it a lot!
I did make Ella's dress she was not to excited about modeling though!

Shhh, don't tell my dad!
Sleeve detail
Yep this is one of his Christmas presents :) I made this shirt for him and the special part about it is that the funky fabric at the yoke and pocket detail is an amazing old fabric made by the Smithsonian called magic bird...what is the family name you ask??? Bird :) and where did I find this fabric??? I my late grandmother's(his mom's) sewing cabinet that my parents gave me this summer. I hope he likes it I know I will fit because I've made one from the same pattern before for him :)

Unisex onesies!!!!
I don't know if you have ever looked for them but I had such a hard time finding cute truly unisex things for my baby. I did not find out the sex till she was born so that's why I was looking :) I mean how many ducks can you handle??? So I have just started making some of course I started with the donkey but here are the first batch. I will probably work on some more designs after the holidays.

Do you like funky hand embroidery?
I know I do!! These are some of my favorite pieces.
If you would like to do some neat funky embroidery you should check out Sublime Stitching the site is great! http://www.sublimestitching.com/ here are a couple pieces I've done from their patterns. This is a purse for my friend Virginia
These I made for my daughter
and finally here is one of my pillow cases :)

Poppies
I love these bags. I did the screen print first for a daiper bag of mine. I think these are great with the mix of fabrics. Some people ask why are the poppies side ways....well that's how I like them :)

Sneak Peek
Hey all for my second post I figured I'd show something I was working on.
I love hand embroidery!!! I got hooked a while back I love doing it and I think it just looks so fun. Another great thing about it is I can actually do it when my daughter is up! That is very important I've had to temporarily give up knitting because she just won't let me! This will be made in to a tote bag eventually~a really nice one with zippered pockets and everything ;) the pattern is inspired by the art on dress patterns from the late 50's.

Apple Dress
Hey there I'm new at blogging but thought I'd branch out . This is a blog mainly to show what I've been making to friends, family and perhaps customers :) This is my most popular design so far, my Apple Dress. The beautiful model is my daughter Elliott.
So far I've made two in 2T and one in a size 8.
